Tilting her career towards the stage, CELIA WESTON (Etta Heine) has worked on Broadway as well as off-Broadway, and at important regional theatres, including Arena Stage, Goodman Theatre and Williamstown. She received many plaudits for her work in the Broadway hit play, Last Night at Ballyhoo, including a Tony nomination, Drama Desk nomination and the Outer Critics Circle and Drama League awards. Other recent stage work includes Summer and Smoke at the Roundabout, Suddenly Last Summer at Circle-in-the-Square and the American premiere of Frank McGuiness' Irish play The Factory Girls.

Her film work has recently expanded. She has featured roles in The Talented Mr. Ripley (director Anthony Minghella's follow-up film to The English Patient), Ang Lee's Ride With the Devil, Diane Keaton's Hanging Up and Joe Gould's Secret, directed by Stanley Tucci. Previous films include Dead Man Walking (for which she received an Independent Spirit Award nomination), Flirting With Disaster, Little Man Tate and Unstrung Heroes.

Weston was educated at Salem College and the North Carolina School of the Arts. In New York, she studied with Uta Hagan and in London at the Bruford School.
